history: Following college I was the Director of Corporate Communications for Morgan International, a distributor of construction and mining equipment with offices and facilities around the world and gross annual sales of $750 million.

My responsibilities included advertising campaigns, collateral materials and an award winning documentary film shot on location in Papua New Guinea, Australia and Japan.

I founded Jim Moon Designs in 1990. My first wine assignment was for the Napa Valley Vintners’ initial international marketing event. The successful execution of that campaign introduced me to vintners not only in the Napa Valley but other wine growing regions in California, Oregon, New Zealand, Greece and Argentina.

I also focused on Bay Area hospitality clients. Most notably Real Restaurants Group, the owners of Mustards Grill, Tra Vigne, Fog City Diner, Buckeye Roadhouse, Bungalow 44 and other well-known fine dining destinations. Other award winning projects followed for the Huntington Hotel and Timberland Eyewear.

Today Jim Moon Designs creates distinctive package, advertising, logo/icon, collateral, web and digital media designs for U.S. and international clients in the wine and hospitality industries as well as for corporate clientele.
