My work with the Napa Valley Vintners introduced me to many people. To my good fortune, Tom Shelton, the President of Joseph Phelps Vineyards, was one of them. Tom had a warm, energetic personality. He was always laughing and in search of good time. He also knew how sell Joseph Phelps’ wine.
Tom asked me to create an advertising campaign for JPW. He didn’t want stiff formality. He wanted these ads to reflect a sense of humor and cleverness, just like he did. Over the course of many years these ads appeared in many wine publications and lifestyle magazines. The campaign won awards and captured attention.
In addition to the campaigns, I also designed other promotional projects like booth exhibits for the Napa Valley Vintners’ Auction, JPV newsletters, website page design and wine sales collateral.
